Sakan is a property listing platform operating in Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain and the UK that helps users search and find properties to Sell, Rent, Buy or Exchange. With a mission to make property searches efficient and hassle-free, Sakan bridges the gap between property seekers and owners, positioning itself as a leading real estate platform in the MENA region and beyond.

My Misson
My mission at Sakan was to lead its evolution from a traditional property listing platform into a fully integrated transactional PropTech platform. This transformation involved shifting the focus from merely displaying property listings to creating an end-to-end digital ecosystem that facilitates seamless property transactions between the users.
Key Focus Areas:
Building a Transactional Framework: Introduced tools and features that enabled users to not only search for properties but also complete transactions directly on the platform, including making offers, signing agreements, Renting & Buying properties online and processing payments securely online.
Enhancing User Experience: Redesigned the platform’s interface to prioritize ease of use, ensuring users could navigate every step of the property journey—from discovery to closure—without friction.
Streamlining Processes for Stakeholders: Created solutions for landlords, agents, and tenants, such as virtual property tours, Property Management system (PMS).
Expanding Revenue Streams: Transitioned from a listing-based revenue model to one that incorporates service fees for completed transactions, boosting the platform's profitability and scalability.
This strategic transformation positioned Sakan as a pioneer in the PropTech space especially in the GCC and MENA region, empowering users with a comprehensive, tech-driven solution for all their real estate needs while setting the stage for long-term growth and innovation.

My Contributions
At Sakan, I successfully took on the roles of Product Manager, Product Owner, and Scrum Master planning, executing, and launching multiple products that significantly contributed to business growth and opened new revenue streams. By introducing and implementing Agile-Scrum methodologies, I enabled the team to efficiently deliver high-impact projects. Some of my key achievements include:
Sakan Holiday
Description: Launched Sakan Holiday, a holiday booking platform catering to users in GCC countries seeking short-term rental options for vacation properties. Similar to platforms like Booking.com and Airbnb, but tailored to the regional market.
Sakan's Packages and Subscriptions
Description: Developed a monetization strategy by introducing packages and subscriptions, offering value-added features to existing users.
Impact: Created a sustainable revenue stream that helped finance the transition to a transactional model.
Sakan's Official Appraisal Service
Description: Introduced a property appraisal service for homeowners, partnering with third-party experts to provide accurate valuations.
Impact: Enhanced the platform’s service portfolio, attracting more homeowners and establishing Sakan as a comprehensive real estate solution.
Sakan CRM
Description: Designed and implemented an in-house CRM system to streamline internal processes, including lead generation, tracking, nurturing, and closing deals.
Impact: Improved operational efficiency and enhanced the team's ability to manage and close leads effectively.
Sakan Affiliation Program
Description: Developed an affiliate program allowing influencers to promote specific properties and earn commissions.
Impact: Created a new marketing channel that increased property visibility and drove additional sales.
Transactional Features: Buy, Rent, Reserve, and Make an Offer Online
Description: Enabled core transactional functionalities on the platform, allowing users to buy, rent, reserve, or make offers directly online.
Impact: Generated transaction-based revenue, transitioning Sakan into a fully transactional PropTech platform.
Expansion to Qatar
Description: Led the company's initiatives during the acquisition of a competitor in Qatar, overseeing integration and market entry.
Impact: Strengthened Sakan’s presence in the GCC region, leveraging the acquisition to expand its user base and market share.
Expansion to the UK
Description: Initiated efforts to establish Sakan in the UK, crafting a competitive strategy tailored to the local real estate market.
Impact: Opened a new market for Sakan, showcasing its ability to adapt and compete internationally.

From vacation rentals and property appraisals to subscription packages and an in-house CRM, each solution is strategically incorporated into the platform to deliver an enhanced user experience.
This holistic approach didn't only drive revenue through direct transactions but also positions Sakan as a leading, scalable solution in the real estate market, with dedicated features that support both user engagement and marketing efforts across multiple regions.
